Last updated: August 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how New Monkey Labs LLC ("the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") collects, uses and discloses your information when you use the Yava mobile application ("Yava", "the App" or "the Service"), and tells you about your privacy rights.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

- Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service or parts of our Service.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a cellphone or a digital tablet.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Company.
What Stays on Your Device
Yava is designed so that the content of your browsing never leaves your phone. The following information is processed entirely on your device and is never collected, uploaded or seen by us:
- What you watch, read, type or send inside the apps and websites you use with Yava — we never collect the pages you visit, your searches, messages or media.
- Screen Time, Family Controls and app-blocking data. In accordance with Apple's requirements for these frameworks, this data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
Data We Collect
We collect the following types of data, each used to provide the functionality of the App:
Contact Info
- Name — if you choose to provide it when creating your Account (for example via Sign in with Apple).
- Email Address — used to create your Account and sign you in.
Identifiers
- User ID — an account identifier that links your settings, usage statistics and subscription status to your Account.
- Device ID — a device identifier used to deliver push notifications to your device and associate it with your Account.
Purchases
- Purchase History — purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive limited subscription information — such as your subscription status, product identifier and transaction identifiers — in order to unlock paid features and manage your subscription.
Usage Data
- Product Interaction — information about how you use the App, such as which screens and features you use, and statistics about your in-App browsing sessions: which supported platform you opened (for example Instagram or YouTube), when a session started and ended, its duration, and how many distractions were blocked. These statistics power your Insights, daily limits and streaks. They describe how long you used a platform — never what you watched, typed or sent there. This category also includes diagnostic data such as device model, operating system version and app version.
Your content filter settings, schedules and time limits are synced to your Account so they can be restored across devices and app reinstalls.
How We Use Your Data
The Company uses your data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service — including powering your Insights, limits, streaks and levels.
- To manage your Account — your registration as a user of the Service, and syncing your settings across devices.
- To manage your subscription — including unlocking paid features you have purchased.
- To contact you — by email or push notification with updates or communications related to the Service.
- To improve the Service — understanding aggregate feature usage, identifying problems and evaluating improvements.
- To provide customer support — responding to your questions and requests.
- For business transfers — in connection with a merger, restructuring or sale of some or all of our assets.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Service Providers We Share Data With
We share the minimum data necessary with the following categories of Service Providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Authentication and backend hosting — to create and manage your Account and store your synced settings and usage statistics.
- Analytics — to understand aggregate usage of the App (e.g. device information and in-app events).
- Subscription management — to present offers and manage your subscription status (e.g. purchase information).
- Apple — processes all payments under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not share your data with third parties for their own advertising or tracking purposes.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security or improve functionality, or where we are legally required to retain it longer.
Deleting Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete, or request that we assist in deleting, the Personal Data we have collected about you. You can delete your Account and all associated data (including your synced settings and usage statistics) from within the App's settings, or contact us at the address below to request deletion. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the App. We may need to retain certain information where we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information may be processed at the Company's operating offices and in other places where the parties involved in the processing are located, which may be outside of your state, province or country. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
We may disclose your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public; or protect against legal liability. If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred; we will provide notice before your Personal Data becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of your Personal Data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so we can take steps to remove that information.
